Father I saw myself alone under a black sky Scared like a child and tears in an eye Seen myself surrounded by dark shadows Besieged by fright, dread and woe My body was covered with frigid snow Couldn't move a pace not even my shadow But still I called my Lord and prayed Forced my frozen hand uphigh and obeyed Every little and big rules He has made In return His promises will never fade He reached out His hand to hold mine I felt His warm hands holding divine It made the freezing ice melt to water He gave up His body and blood to me To cleanse me from my unneeded impurity He carried me out of the dark And shielded me from harm He was beside me everytime I'm in need Always there even if I'm in lead I know He would be there until it's over Because I know He's my only Father - Rosavelle Que Philippines |
