. . .an Associated Press
release in June of 1997 confirmed the fact that there is substance to "black
helicopter" sightings; according to the AP, the "black helicopters"
are
associated with secret Special Forces training designed to prepare U.S.
forces for urban warfare. The training has from time to time been carried
out on a clandestine basis in the continental U.S. The AP revelation came
as a great embarrassment to liberal critics of conservative conspiracy theorists
who had ridiculed militia outrage over this matter. .
Subject: Drills
Tonight at around 10:15 pm, the D.O.D., Emergency Services, Emergency Management, Charlotte Police, and others began a week of "special drills" in Charlotte. A friend called at 10:30 pm to let me know about machine guns firing, small arms fire, and several helicopters near downtown Charlotte. The drills were, as far as I know, not announced to the general public. They were supposed to begin Sunday and end Thursday. Sunday - Wednesday was supposed to be classroom only. Thursday was to be the actual drill.
They are running the drills in practice of Y2K problems they expect to occur, and are practicing to handle "domestic terrorist" problems. They just finished this same type drill in Hebron, Md.
In that drill, they had six enlisted soldiers dress as civilians, hide in homes, hide weapons, and the military went house to house to locate the "domestic terrorists" and confiscate the illegal weapons. They stated that this type of training will be the "wave of the future."
