The Sap Rises
Alive awake the senses tapped
Asleep so long can this be sap
It fills my veins, it's calm and warm
The sleep was cold I dreamed of harm
My palms are moist, my thoughts run free
My heart beats fast, I'm filled with glee
The fears are gone, I'm filled with love
Green grass beneth, blue skies above
My smile is wide, my eyes are bright
My face aglow, I feel in flight
What is this force so strong and kind
How did I fall so far behind
Why did I cry so many tears
Why did I sleep so many years
I cried because I was alone
I slept because all hope was gone
Alive awake the senses tapped
The rush goes on and so the sap
Can I remain awake and warm
I can if we walk arm in arm

The Sap Rises -
Thinking your life is over. Your just exist feeling hopeless. Then
something wonderful happens, the senses are tapped. You feel wonderful as
you awake to the realization that you must have ( God, friends, etc.)
more than yourself in order to feel life's pleasures and not go into a shell
and let fear and pain and loneliness take over your life.
The Sap Rises -
Thinking your life is over. Your just exist feeling hopeless.
Then...something happens...the senses are tapped, you feel wonderful because
of Him (God emerges from within).
